Riku Replica WIP, set for SakuraCon '10. The funny thing is that we wanted to do it for SakuraCon '09, but...it never happened.

<sub>I love the concept of Riku Replica, and everything that was played out in Re:COM. The sad thing is that most KH fans (usually the fickle or the snarky ones) didn't even care to delve into that game. It was a "waste of time", or something. Or "I'll just watch the cutscenes".

...No, see, the cutscenes are between important gameplay. I just don't get it.

But that ranting is beside the point.</sub>

The idea of Replicas--Riku or Xion--is really sad, and scary at the same time. To have the power to create an artificial intelligence, to manufacture this doll and be able to control it but allow it some free will of an extent. The fact that it is a doll, but may not realize it--may somehow give birth to emotions and feelings and convictions of its own, which complicates the original plan. That's such an intriguing idea.

The tension between Riku Replica and Sora throughout the game was so great, and the story of the both of them--and the Replica itself--was pretty heart-wrenching.

Although, then there's Riku's side of the whole game--and that's enough stress on your heart to drive you over the edge, right?

KH is such a complex and profound game. I hate how it doesn't get enough credit.
